I love being able to send the grocery list to my hubby’s I-Phone! However, sometimes I want to add items that are not part of the recipe (staples like coffee etc.). For now, I put them under comments, but my husband, the supernerd, wants to be able to have check boxes for these, too. How can I add non-recipe items to the shopping list that will also be listed with check boxes?

I am working on a web application that will allow you to get your list on any smart phone without requiring e-mail. That will allow you to check the boxes. I will announce it on the blog when it becomes available.
