Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader: Free software to share your cookbooks

Rufenacht Innovative announces the release of the free Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader software to read Shop'NCook cookbooks. Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader and Shop'NCook are available for Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and Mac OS X platforms.

Shop'NCook is a program to organize recipes and grocery shopping. Shop'NCook users can now create cookbooks that anyone can read using free Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader. Creating recipe collections is a child's game with Shop'NCook. You add new recipes by typing them in, pasting from the clipboard, or importing directly from the Internet. Shop'NCook imports recipes in several popular formats (SCX, MM, MXP, MX2) and unformatted plain text recipes. You organize the recipes in cookbooks that are saved as a single file, ideal to distribute over the Internet or share with family and friends by e-mail. The free cross-platform Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader enables anyone to view and search the cookbooks and print recipe cards. If you are worried about preserving the integrity of your cookbooks, Shop'NCook lets you protect them with a password, and limit the access to one recipe at a time.

Shop'NCook includes also a database of 2000 grocery items with nutritional data, the possibility to calculate nutritional analysis and generate aisle-ordered shopping lists from the recipes in an automated way, advanced shopping list features including automatic unit conversion, on-the-fly items and sublists. It also gives direct access to an online database where users share their recipes.

Shop'NCook Cookbook Reader is free and can be downloaded from . Free cookbooks totaling several thousands of recipes are available there for download. Shop'NCook costs $24.95(US) for a single-user license with one year free upgrades.
