Do you want to transfer your cookbooks from Shop’Ncook software to iShopNCook app and don’t know which option is the best for you?
Please, read below!
The synchronization requires a subscription to Cookbook Plus. With this option, to transfer your cookbooks to the app, you must first synchronize Shop’NCook on your computer to upload your cookbooks to the cloud. By synchronizing iShopNCook app next, you fetch the cookbooks on the cloud and download them onto the app.
If you modify your cookbooks in the software in the future, you will just have to tap on synchronize in the app to keep it up-to-date.
Note that to use the synchronization, you need to have Shop’NCook Pro or Menu editions on your computer.
Watch the video below to see the whole synchronization procedure:
Importing through iTunes
To import cookbooks through iTunes, you need to purchase the Import/Export module. With this option, you must first export your cookbooks to XML format from Shop’NCook software, connect your iPhone to iTunes and add the exported cookbooks to the app.
You can also import an individual recipe into iShopNCook by exporting it to Shop’NCook Exchange format (*.SCX) and copying the file to the app in iTunes. To transfer a single recipe file, you don’t need the Import/Export module.
Important: To export your cookbooks to XML format, you need to download and install the latest version of Shop’NCook software. If you are using Shop’NCook 4.0, you can simply install it on top of your current installation.

Importing via e-mail
A third option is to transfer your cookbooks or recipes to the app via e-mail. You proceed in the same way as for the transfer through iTunes, but send instead your cookbook or recipe files to your iPhone by e-mail as attachment. You will be able to import them into the app just with a tap.
Similarly to the transfer through iTunes, you need to purchase the Import/Export module to import whole cookbooks. You don’t need it for individual recipes.
But which option should I choose?
If you just want to transfer once your cookbooks to iShopNCook app and don’t need to update them often, select the import through iTunes or e-mail.
If you modify often your cookbooks and want iShopNCook to be up-to-date, it is better to use the synchronization option.
