How to fix Java on Maverick

Did you upgrade to Maverick, the latest OS of Apple, just to find out that a number of your trusted programs, including Shop’NCook, do not run anymore? Java is broken on Maverick, due to a conflict between Java 6 that comes from your previous version of Mac OS X and Java 7 that is required on Maverick.

Since a number of high profile software, like Photoshop, are also broken because it this issue, I am sure that Apple will soon publish an update that fixes this issue. Meanwhile, you can easily solve this problem by downloading and reinstalling Java 6 from the following link:
