Flexible Grocery Shopping with the iPhone – Call for Beta Testers
For the last few years, I became gradually frustrated with static shopping lists that I cannot tweak or modify during the actual grocery shopping. I started to feel the need for a more flexible shopping list and meal planning that you can adapt as you go, changing the list while shopping to use what you find in the shops, for example to take advantage of bargains.
I sent a survey about a year ago with some vague ideas for a new iPhone application for a flexible grocery shopping and got an overwhelming response – hundreds of detailed replies loaded with fantastic ideas. Reading them, I took pages and pages of notes!
These ideas have finally crystallized into a new iPhone application – a flexible grocery shopping app, integrated with a recipe organizer, that is capable to adapt recipes, shopping list and meal plans on the go.
The beta testing of the new app has just started and there are still a few spots available. If you are interested to participate, I will need you to send me first some information on your iPhone, so that I can create a provisional profile for your device, as required by Apple, in order to allow you to download the app to your phone without going through the app store.
If you would like to participate, please leave a comment below, or alternatively send me an e-mail, and I will send you the detailed instructions to get started.
Unfortunately, Apple limits strictly the number of beta testers for any given developer account. I can only accept a small number of additional beta testers. If you would like to contribute to improve the new app, please apply right away!
Update: Due to the large number of people who responded to the call so quickly, I have to close the applications early. Thanks to all for your support! For those I could not take, please look forward to the new release soon.
